Maid of Honor

Susan "Sunami" Yongue

As her older sister, Susan always looked out for Michelle while she was growing up. Michelle felt like
there was no one else better to fill the role of maid of honor than her Unnie, who would always have her
back.

Our Story

First meet

Nick and Michelle met back in college while volunteering at an event for visually impaired youth. What jokingly started with their mentors constantly pushing them to interact together throughout the event turned into genuine interest. Michelle was excited to make a new friend, and Nick was interested in going on a date... Nick’s first attempt to ask Michelle on a date resulted in her needing further clarification, as she originally believed he wanted her to hang out with “him and the  guys”, but once they finally did go on that first date a few weeks later, they were inseparable and have been ever since.

First kiss

It was a three-way kiss on their third date at Cold Stone Creamery. Their loving pup, Fortune enthusiastically joined in, not wanting to miss out on the excitement.

First "I love you"

It was a chilly evening in December. Nick and Michelle were comfortably sitting in a patch of freshly mown grass at the park holding hands and talking about anything that came to mind, when they said “I love you” for the first time.

Living together

Nick and Michelle enjoy cooking, watching movies, listening to podcasts, playing cards and board games, and visiting the theme parks every chance they get!

Proposal

After a lovely dinner at Capital Grille, the couple took in the cool, crisp evening with a lovely stroll on the Riverwalk. They sat at their favorite waterside swing, and Nick dropped to a single knee and professed his love and commitment to her with a beautiful ring to symbolize their eternal love. Adoringly, Michelle squealed with delight and the calm of the evening was disrupted for a moment as applause from onlookers everywhere erupted in celebration.

Best Man

Nick and James have been long-time childhood friends. It was only fitting for Nick to ask James to be his best man, since he had been such a trusted, reliable, friend all of these years.
